Jerry Frankel was this year's recipient of the 2011 UR Evans award from the Institute of Corrosion. The award was presented on Sept 5, 2011 at the Meeting of the Faraday Division of the Royal Society of Chemistry in Bath, England by Bob Crundwell, president of the institute of Corrosion.

Rudy Buchheit is now back from research leave, during which he spent 6 months at the CSIRO in Melbourne, Australia.
