If you smoke...
Nearly all hotels and businesses in the Columbus area are smoke-free by city ordinance. If you smoke, please be sure to clarify where smoking is permitted at the hotel you select.
Power adapters
US hotels tend to not have power converters available for their international guests (US residential power is 110V AC). Please plan accordingly.
Travel delays
You may wish to keep in mind the ever-possible problem of travel delays as you schedule your flight and book a room. Arrival on Saturday, July 12, may be beneficial.

Child care
Guests with children may wish to contact Action for Children, a child care referral service in Columbus.
Visa statement
For those traveling to the conference from outside the United States: The IMCS12 can provide a letter for visa purposes stating length of stay, purpose for travel, etc. If such a letter is needed, please contact Dr. Sheikh Akbar, Conference Director.

Conference guests are asked to secure their own accommodations on-line or by telephone using the contact information below. If a guest is having difficulty registering in this manner, please contact the Conference Director, Dr. Sheikh Akbar, and he will direct the guest to the appropriate resource.

Registration: To receive an online registration discount please enter the booking code MSC. If, while registering, you are not given an option to select this code, it means that the IMCS room block is full. You may, however, call the Holiday Inn on the Lane directly (number above) and receive the discount by giving the booking code MSC.
If you have already registered online and received the $119.99/night rate, please call Holiday Inn on the Lane and ask to be transferred to the lower conference rate. When checking into the hotel, please confirm that you have received the correct rate. The reservations manager will refund the difference if you are billed at the higher rate.
