Dr. Babu research focuses on fundamental understanding of phase transformations during processing of advanced materials through computational modeling and characterization. Computational material modeling pertains to computational thermodynamics and kinetics modeling. Characterization relates to nanoscale characterization and in-situ time-resolved scattering using neutron and synchrotron beam lines. In addition, interdisciplinary research to develop and deploy integrated process modeling for automotive, aerospace, chemical, energy, medical, and microelectronics industries.
