Location: 025 Central Classrooms Bldg, 2009 Millikin Rd.

Phone: 292-3131

Links to reserve MSE departmental equipment. The MSE department maintains presentation and research aids for use by MSE faculty, staff, and students. To place a reservation, users must provide an MSE user name and password. These items are stored in 177 Watts Hall unless otherwise noted. Questions about these items may be directed to the Chair's Assistant at 688-3050.

MSE students may also reserve equipment maintained by Engineering Region 6 (ECR6)

Instructions to check out MSE equipment:

  1. Please note that only two weeks are displayed: the current week and the following week. To reserve beyond the following week go to the bottom of the page and request an alternate week. Enter a date you wish to view using the following format: DD-MMM-YYYY, (i.e., 01-Jan-2008) and hit RETURN. This will display the item's availability during that week.
  2. Reservations are made at a given time for a day selected from a drop-down menu like this:
  3. Select the day to be reserved for that hour. You may select multiple hours in a week. However, you must make separate reservation requests if you wish to 1) reserve multiple days at the same hour or 2) reserve times in different weeks.
  4. Enter the room where the item will be used.
  5. An interim storage location must also be completed. NOTE: if you will be reserving the item on an ongoing basis, list 177 Watts as the interim storage location.

For example, if the projector is reserved for Tues-Thurs at 10:30, room 177 Watts is listed as the interim storage spot. In the event the item isn't used on a scheduled day, its location is known and can be easily picked up by another user. If an item is simply reserved for one-time use, the interim storage location will probably be the user's office.

  1. After completing the form, click the "update" button. You will again be asked to enter your username and password. The form will be redisplayed with your reserved time shown as your username with a hypertext link. Clicking on the username will show the use and interim storage location information for that reservation.
  2. To delete an entry: Go to the reservation week in which you have reserved an item. Click on your name to bring up details about the reservation. This page will have a pull-down menu with your name next to the field "Reserved by user". Pull down and select "delete" on this menu. Click "update" after selecting delete and the entry will be deleted.
This process must be repeated for each entry made in step two.
